About Candido Brown

A Washington, DC resident, Candido Brown started his career in education in 2005 after working for the American Civil Liberties Union. As founder and chief reading achievement officer with Reading Achievement Partners, also based in Washington, DC, Candido Brown heads a firm that assists K-8 educators with helping students become lifelong readers.

Mr. Brown’s career began with the Teach Baltimore Program in the summer of 2005, and he was subsequently hired by Johns Hopkins University as a Public Relations Associate the same year. His most notable roles in education include being an elementary education adjunct professor at the Touro College, where he taught elementary education. He was also founder and Chief Solutions Officer at BetterEd Solutions, where he provided coaching solutions to educators, and the Director of Adult Learning and Development at Ascend Public Charter Schools, a college preparatory company.
